Monthly Update

Hey there friends,

It's almost end of September already!  Fall is definitely in the air and this is my favorite time of the year.  Green chili roasting, lots of football, elk hunting and lots of hot chocolate and whipped cream and warm blankies with good books .. these are just some of my favorites this time of year.

An update, I'm still in limbo with my scraproom..so it's not complete yet.. I decided to go with IKEA shelving units called Expedit.. we'll see how that goes so far so good organizing .. still need shelves on walls and crown molding .. it's been a DIY project for sure .. just wish it was a DRN project meaning Done Right Now LOL

I've got several YuDu projects that I am wanting to get to just need to schedule those in .. once I get them done I'll post ... football towels, stadium chairs, pop up canopy etc...

I'm also officially SDU certified .. this is Scrapbook Design University thru EK Sucess .. I now have the opportunity to teach their basic scrapbooking classes at JoAnn's and Michael's ... I'm looking forward to sharing my talents locally ..

Sorry blog .. I've been facebooking ...

Hello all,

I know it's been a long while but I've been facebooking and it is sooo much fun.  I feel like I've neglected my blog and since I'm on a scrapbooking Blog Hop, I thought that I should at least post something. 

Anyhow, the latest is that I'm almost done with my new scraproom. I've found several vintage finds like an old library card catalog piece, an old type setting drawer with tons of little nooks that when placed on the wall can hold lots of un stuff as well as lots of smaller unique items that I hope to use in my room.  My funnest find was a black steel architects filing cabinet with lots of drawers that I am using to store my Stampin Up rubber stams... just this week I bought an old chest and dresser from the Salvation Army and plan to repaint and make shabby chic and these will hold more of my sb supplies .. we have chair railing up, still waiting on crown molding and curtain cornice ... have put up 3 Making Memories storage cabinets ... whew .. we have been busy but it's not done yet .. I still have to purge tons of stuff that I've accumulated over the last 14  years ... I am a scrap addict LOL  need to declutter and refine my collecton to what I need and will use ...

Another year older ...

Hello all,

OK so I just celebrated another birthday ..whew ..I honestly can't believe that I'm this old..39! 

Me and the hubby were talking about how in our lives it seems like we do go thru chapters .. each with it's own title and experiences ..

I vividly remember, often in detail, my elementary school days and can remember telling myself then to cherish the time - where this wisdom came from I'm unsure but it did and I ofren reminded my self to remember this theme as I grew up ..enjoy and savor this time in my life ....

There was the time was when I turned 8 and had a home birthday party with several friends..that year I received a new pink bike with a cool pink swirled banana seat and the handle bars had those plastic streamers - boy I thought I rocked and I thought this is awesome I need to remember this chapter I titled - 8th Birthday Rocked -  ...

then there is another chapter when I started high school and tried out for the cheer team - this was one of the first times that my abilities were judged and the impressions would make a lasting impact on me and my life - well, I remember telling myself before I went on before the judges that I was going to do well and make them love me and guess what they did -Chapter: "Confidence- I am Worthy" was what it meant to me ..

then there was the "First Love" Chapter - not going through with you LOL but it was an incredible memorable experience, then "Away to College", "Found my Soulmate", "Having A Baby", "Relocation?"

well, I could go on and on on the chapters of my life so far but for now I realize and cherish each year all the chapters of my life and I thank God for giving me the wisdom and insight to know and feel and be "in" the chapters as these chapters are the "good times and bad times" and all are that make me Me ..so as I celebrate another year I truly cherish my chapters and live my out my current chapter .."I'm Middle Aged Now - Whoa I can't believe it".

Why I love Blogging ..

Me again, ok I am a new blogger and was trying to learn a few more blogging skills and saw this on typepad ..

Why do you love blogging??  So .. I thought this is a good question ..here are my reasons;

1. Because everyone else does it ...

2. It is nice to share a bit of yourself with the world ...and lots of family and friends LOL

3. I enjoy tracking my memories and experiences with it ..

4. Once you get it, it's easy ..even for non techy people like me

5.  It's nice to meet other like minded folks, especially scrapbookers and stampers

6.  I realize that there are so many people out in the world who are really on their computers all day long LOL

Catching up .. YuDu News

Hey all,

I received my new YuDu machine and have already started playing with it .. OMG it is amazing ... In the next few weeks, I'll start posting more about this new machine and share with you all the things it can do ..

Time flies ... Baby Andy has officially turned 4 mths .. last week he had his well baby check and his is just over 15 lbs.. whew .. did I mention that after 3 boys, I'm still not used to the immunization shots .. I cry every time ..ouch..poor babies .. Andy cried and moaned a bit so I know it hurt ..

Well adjustment to TX has been somewhat rough but I'm happy to announce that I found a nice lss called Personal Scrapbook that I will soon be frequenting ..I have told myself that I must first unpack all my stash before I head out ..I am thinking that I might want to teach some "in house" classes over the summer and/or have some youth stamp camps .. hmmmm

I can finally spill the beans ....

that awesome new product that I was talking about for all these past weeks is finally out ...it's called a YuDu machine and it is a personal screenprinting machine.. WOO HOO!!  The projects one can make with this machine are endless ...and  the best part is that I will have one in a couple of weeks to start working on some samples for Provocraft .. Welcome to Texas :)

Well that's what my new neighbor told me when we got here and so did the car hop guy at the Sonic - I so missed Sonic :) 

So we managed to make it and have almost unpacked all the boxes..whewsh it's hard to move a family of 6 across four states but we did it.  T has been working almost non-stop and has been traveling a bit more than we are accustomed so needless to say the transition has been more difficult without my muscle to get to the boxes .. Anyhow, the boys are loving school. Aidan seems to be enjoying 1st grade and is soo excited to bring home the class pet Mr. Carls Jr. some type of gecko lizard - I on the other hand am not so much looking forward to that .. Austin is doing great at the mid school, has some pretty hard classes and I must say that they do seem more strict on academics than CA ..he had to test into some AP and GT classes and whewsh again, he made it through ..I was shocked to hear that here in 8th grade they take Geometry whereas in CA Austin was still in the honors Algebra 1AB ..hmmm..this semester might be tougher than we thought .. Anyhow, he is also so looking forward to playing Spring baseball ..the head coach is also the freshman football coach at the high school so this is totally awesome for him to get to know Austin ..fingers crossed we are on a great team with wonderful parents ..  The little ones hang out with me all day - lucky them :)  Alec has explored every inch of the house and seems to find every thing that  I dont want him to play with so I guess he is truly at terrible two ..baby Andy, well he's an angel ..sleeps, eats, poops, sleeps eats same routine and every once in a while he stays up a bit to watch all the chaos, I wonder what he thinks of it all LOL

So...on to scrapping news .. I found a wonderful little scrapbook store a few miles up the road - Personal Scrapbook ..the owner is super nice and I'm hoping to get a chance to crop there and also maby start teaching some classes ..wouldn't that be a nice break ...  Did I mention I am now in Hobby Lobby country?? YEAH! I love, love love this store and was so sad when CA didn't have one ..T said to me would you trade 8 Michaels and 4 JoAnn's for a Hobby Lobby? I said I would totally give up 10 Michaels, 6 Super Joanns and the one Roberts store from Utah for a Hobby Lobby he totally died of laughter ...Anyhow I am now happy that I have a scrapping outlet and a chance to meet some likeminded addicts while I'm here in TX..

OK so remember I gave you a sneek hint that I would be getting a new machine from Provocraft?? Well, it's supposed to be shipped to me after CHA so once I get it I will be soooo excited and once they give me an ok I will share all about it with you ..

Well off to figure out how to make my blog more bloggilicious ..

Gotta Share ..

Hi there,

Just a few quick updates ... little Andy is doing wonderfully!! He's been toted all over the place from football practices, football games, Kung Fu classes, scrapbook shopping excursions and even to a Lakers game LOL  - yes he's been officially initiated into our crazy busy family.

We are moving to TX ..yup, dh got transferred to an awesome position and so we are packing and transitioning UGHH as if having a newborn wasn't enough LOL  We think we have found the perfect area for us in the Allen, TX area ..we are impressed with the Lovejoy school district and can't wait to experience life out in the country for a change  - more room for the boys and more room for my scrapbook studio - yea! 

More awesome news - Provocraft has contacted me and next week I should be receiving something very very special...remember my post on those really awesome NEW products ..well I'm getting a sneek peek and once I can share I will do so the very minute as I'm sure you'll absolutely love it too!  For now though, check out their website (www.provocraft.com) for the NEW YourStory book binding/laminating system - it rocks!  Also they have a new blade out for the Cricut that can now cut magnet and chipboard - yeah!

Time Sure Passes By Real Fast ...

Hello...anyone out there??   It's me the long lost blogger .. I've been away having a baby, did you miss me?  :)   Well, I have plenty to blog and brag about .. little Andrew was born on October 9th at 7:57 am. He's such a sweet, sweet baby and is now just over a month old .. I cannot believe it.  We are so lucky to have him join our already crazy and chaotic family.  Our older boys just cannot get enough of holding him any chance I let them.  So far, we think he is more like me as he loves to eat and eat and eat, he is definitely one of those every two hours kinda kid and like mom he gets cranky when we're not exactly on time :) 

So how am I you ask? I am absolutely wonderful. I haven't felt as good after having a c-section as I do this time..yup, it's been 4 in a row..I have to give kudos to my awesome Dr. - Dr. Navi ..he's amazing and honestly I appreciate his extra time and willingness to hear out my concerns and actually hear what I was saying. He understood my feelings and anxieties and I just cannot say enough about how much that meant to me.  

Since the baby has been hear I've been focusing on taking lots of photos of him and now I'm geared up to do some major scrapping.  I have lots to catch up on now for sure.. 

I was sad to have missed the recent Ontario Scrap Expo but I had several of my CKU buddies attend and eww they shared about all the many new wonderful products on the market -fun!! 

After scrapping for so long and buying every scrap product availalbe, I am soo looking forward to and saving up for the upcoming PROVO CRAFT new releases. 

I know for a fact that something really awesome is brewing with PROVO CRAFT and I'm so filled with excitement that I might have an opportunity to share the big news with you very soon ....  When we toured their facility in June, wall fell in love with their warehouse and even got a sneak peak of some of the new items coming out and again THEY ROCK! 

Well it's getting late and I'm sure I'll be up for another feeding soon, so I leave you with a huge hug and fun and positive thoughts and dreams about the new PROVO CRAFT products
